sylka™ marine carpet services

SYLKA is made with the innovative, resilient NuSilk fibre system making it ideal for a wide range of Marine applications.

Although delicate and luxurious to touch, the micro fibre from which NuSilk is derived from makes SYLKA extremely durable and hardwearing making it exceptionally versatile.

Unlike all natural and faux silk luxury floor coverings, including viscose and bamboo, NuSilk is the only fibre system of its type that will retain its beauty and delicate feel after cleaning.

Thanks to its ability to withstand spillages, sun damage and heavy foot traffic, SYLKA has been specified by high-profile boat builders and marine interior designers for vessels from 20 metre to 100 metre superyachts.

It is ideal for new builds and refurbishment projects, making it the perfect marine choice for pure luxury and practicality.

On top of this high level of inbuilt protection, we also offer Aquadefence – one of the industry’s leading hydrophobic barriers which prevent stains from occurring in the first place.

SYLKA’s collections come in designer-friendly natural shades that will complement any living space and create the look, as well as the feel, of luxury.

Alongside our normal range we also offer SYLKA Hand-Tufted which allows the modern discerning boat builder the choice of installing completely bespoke, one-off carpets.

Award Winning

Award-winning carpet producer SYLKA has been named as a finalist at this year’s International Yacht and Aviation Awards for its work on luxury motor yacht Galaxy of Happiness.

The 53-metre vessel is the world’s largest trimaran and is well recognised in the industry for its innovative look and design.

As part of a refit led by Marek Olko, of O&O European Design, SYLKA has fitted its luxury range of carpets throughout, including a bespoke logo using its new Hand Tufted service.

The quality of design and installation left the judging panel at the International Yacht and Aviation Awards in awe and has led them to shortlist SYLKA in the flooring category at this year’s awards.

Steve Farrell, Founder and Managing Director at SYLKA Carpets, said: “We are delighted that the judges at this year’s International Yacht and Aviation Awards have decided to select us as a finalist for this prestigious honour.

“Our work on board the Galaxy of Happiness is truly unique and all those involved have been blown away by the results that we have helped to achieve.

“The marine and yacht industry continue to be important areas of growth for SYLKA, so we hope this latest recognition will boost our position in the market further.”
